41 bis rue du Moulin Vert

Another favorite website is images: au ras du sol, des murs, des objets ... vision brute. Above is a photo of the façade at 41 bis rue du Moulin Vert, Paris. When I was in graduate school back in the 70s, studying ancient history, I once suggested turning in a paper that consisted of nothing but photographs of Roman bricks. At the time, staring at bricks seemed to be a better introduction to Roman history than reading all of Tacitus. I still think I was right, and I think the world is starting to catch up.
