The Mission of HOPE (Horrified Observers of Pedestrian Entertainment) is "to bring quality to the world of entertainment while working outside of the traditional network, record label, and studio structure."

"Whenever bad entertainment decides to surface, you can bet that H.O.P.E. will not be far behind.  The first H.O.P.E. event was the protesting of a Paris Hilton book signing at Hollywood’s Book Soup on the Sunset Strip. The 'star' of The Simple Life was at the Hollywood book store to sign copies of her book, Confessions of an Heiress, and H.O.P.E. was there to greet her in their own special way. Over one hundred H.O.P.E. members showed up to let the heiress know that, unlike what her people present as the pop culture consensus, they don’t accept her as a celebrity just because she was born rich. People stood across the street with signs bearing 'Why are you famous' and 'Money can’t buy you brain cells'."

"The next H.O.P.E. target was the Jimmy Fallon and Queen Latifah vehicle Taxi. Following Wednesday night's premiere, the H.O.P.E. office was flooded with e-mails from movie goers saying Taxi lacks any form of creativity, humor, or intelligence.  As a service to America, H.O.P.E. dispatched members to theaters where Taxi was playing to alert movie-going patrons that the film was substandard fare."

"HOPE has recently teamed up with Rhino Records and the Knitting Factory of N.Y.C. to host an Ashlee Simpson CD exchange, where you can trade in your old Simpson album for one of value. That is, one from another artist."
