[Food] Jean-Paul Sartre Cookbook
In graduate school, despite being a self-avowed Maoist studying ancient history, I nevertheless found myself spending most of my time getting stoned with Sartreans. It seemed at the time that we had the best ideas, but they had the best dope. (While Sartre himself dabbled in Maoism, most of the Sartreans I knew were more comfortable with the Stalinist Sartre.) Anyway, this caught my eye. (I think it's been floating around for a while on the Web.)
When I was out in Oakland a few years ago, friends told me they were seeing the emergence of a new era, of people coming together for common purpose. "Maoists, Trotskyites, Stalinists, Democratic Socialists...all joining together to fight for change." I love the Left.
