[Crime] With Republicans Like This, Who Needs Democrats?

According to the Washington Times, Tennessee's Zack Wamp voted against the rule change that will allow Tom DeLay to continue as Majority Leader, even if after he's indicted. "I totally respect our leadership, top to bottom, but this sends the wrong message." So we now have a representative who stands up to DeLay, and another standing up to the White House on Iraq. Maybe progressives don't need the Democratic Party; maybe we can just glom onto right-wing conservatives who share our values. Beats Kerry's "Kill 'em some more!" rhetoric.
