La Cinémathèque du Internet: Part 2
Another irregular round-up of what's showing on the Internet:
- Bollywood Cowboy. Fashion Cares, Canada's largest AIDS fundraiser, has developed these ads for the MAC Viva Glam Bollywood Cowboy, to be held June 4 in Toronto. Toto, I'm afraid we're not in Roy Rogers anymore.
- Why don't I get the good drugs? A colleague here sent me this: Strawberry Pancakes. One thing I learned watching avant-garde Hungarian films at the New York Film Festival if it doesn't end in 3 hours, it has no intention of ending. Not to spoil the fun, but Strawberry Pancakes stops. Also from the same mothership is aaaaaaaaaaaaahaha. aaaaaaaaaaaaahaha is more profound, if more painful, than Strawberry Pancakes.
- Cat herders. I think this has been around for a while and is just coming back round.
- Another colleague sent me Clubhouse for Christ. (Am I the only person who works around here?)
- Sexual Harrassment Training. Another video from another colleague. What not to do (e.g., don't comment on how a colleague's vagina smells). Probably not something you'd want to be caught watching at work.
- Teenage Pregnancy Prevention ad. From the Belgium Public Health Department. (Why can't we Americans be more clever?)
- From boingboing, videos of people crying while they're eating (or vice-versa). Reminded me of the photographer Sam Taylor-Wood's series of photographs showing well-known male actors crying. (And while you're in the neighborhood, check out the Shakeskin Gallery. Oh, and, uh, this.)
- "Moth", by PES. If you love Jan Svankmajer, and there really is no excuse, then you'll swoon over this little gem.
- Bike Kill. Black Label Bike Club, Brooklyn NY.
- Do animated gifs count?
- Michael Jackson's "I Never Copped a Feel".
- I'm not sure what this is, but it seems to be about the Jehovah's Witnesses, the Metropolitan Community Church, and Michael Jackson.
- Peregrine Falcon webcam.
